She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard A. Smothers and Mary Ellen Smothers (Walker); her husband Vernon L. Bishop; and her siblings, Clyde Smothers, Ralph Smothers, Bart Smothers, Clifford Smothers, Opal Browning Spencer and Eva Fox.
She is survived by: her children, Carmilita Walker (Ronnie) of Poplar Bluff, Connie Coleman of Poplar Bluff, Cathy Mansbridge of Poplar Bluff, Vernon L. Bishop, Jr. (Lisa) of Poplar Bluff and Cheryl Schalk (Kenny) of Nixa; her grandchildren, Shawn Daggett, Jennifer Lancaster (Gabe), Heather Rommel (Nick), Marah Heckman (Troy) and Tasha Schalk; and her great grandchildren, Hunter Herrold, Hope Morse, George Lancaster, Thomas Lancaster, Peter Lancaster, Makayla Cantu, Trinity Cantu and Clara Elizabeth Heckman. She is also survived by grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
