He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Dale and Betty Jane Payne; and his son Steven Dale Payne. He is survived by: his wife Jeanne Baughn; his children, Carmen Hildrich of Poplar Bluff, Crysten Hitchcock of Biloxi, MS, Miranda Johnson of Plato, MO, Drew Payne (Meade, MD) of Fort George and Courtney Payne of Nederland, TX; and his brother Jim Payne of Poplar Bluff, MO.. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren.
