He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Mayes (Hillis); his sister Lorene Withrow; his son Steven (MyLene); and his grandchildren, Jeremy Mayes (Andrea) of North Carolina, Justin Mayes (Kristin), Travis Mayes (Wendee) and Kimberly Barrett (Luke).
