It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Bruns (Poplar Bluff, Missouri), born in Pinckneyville, Illinois, who passed away on June 9, 2018, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Jackson and Lola Grace Hill (House); her spouse James Joseph Bruns; her son-in-law Jack Simons; her siblings, Helen Bunge and Eugene Hill; and her grandchildren, Jamie Burrage and Todd Bruns.
She is survived by: her children, Jim Bruns of Fort Worth, TX, Jon Bruns (Patty) of Collinsville, IL, Dennis Bruns of Poplar Bluff, MO and Mary Simons of Bethalto, IL; her grandchildren, Brad Bruns (Kathy), Stephanie Simons, Kristi Keilbach, Jay Bruns (Ellen), Kelly Allison (George), Sara Bruns and Amanda Bruns; and her sisters, Roberta Winterbaurer of Swansea, IL and Sally Keene of Columbia, MO.. She is also survived by great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.
