He was predeceased by : his parents, Edmund J. Heislen and Viola Korte Thurman Heislen; his brother Robert Thurman; and his sister-in-law Barbara. He is survived by : his significant other Linda Bryant of Raymore; his son Kurt Heislen of Belton; his siblings, Jimmy Thurman (Rhonda) of Marshall, Paul Thurman (Linda) of Columbia, David Thurman (Sharon) of Marshall and Janet Carmack (Bernie "Poodle") of Glasgow; his nieces and nephews, Cassandra Patchen (Derrick) of Overland Park, KS and Dallas Bryant (Kayla) of Raymore; his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jack Patchen, Cameron and Colton Bryant; and also Shellie of Belton. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
There will be private family gatherings due to COVID-19.
