He was predeceased by : his parents, Jewell Bettis and Margaret Bettis (Haney); his siblings, John Franklin Bettis, Charles Wesley Bettis and Pauline Harms Boyett; his daughter Leisa Renee Bettis; and his son-in-law Clifford Kramer.

He is survived by : his wife Iva Bettis; his children, Jessie W. Bettis of Roach, Missouri, Lee Ann Lich (Dean) of Saginaw and Linda Kramer of Wylie, Texas; and his sister Judy Ann Becker of Jonesboro, Arkansas.. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren.
