She was predeceased by: her parents, John Rosenbohm and Emma Rosenbohm (Tiemeyer); her husband Cecil Van Meter, Jr.; her children, Steve, Gordon and Patricia Ann; her great grandchild Ruth; and her sister Vivian Boettner.
She is survived by: her daughters-in-law, Sarah Van Meter (Rock Port) and Eva Jo Van Meter (Overland Park); her grandchildren, Doug Van Meter (Rebecca), Kim Fulkerson (John) and Amy Francis (Jake); her stepgrandchildren, Julie Joesting (Steve) of Rock Port and Tim Muntz (Shannon) of Oak Grove, Missouri.; her great grandchildren, Judson, Mary Van Meter, Will, Isabel, Mya Fulkerson, Ty, Hayden, Luke and Aubrey Francis; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Cody, Cavin (Emily), Colin Joesting and Tarver Muntz; and her nieces, Anita Sutter, Vicki Melies and Jackie Perry.
Contributions in memory of Helen may be made to the First Lutheran Church of Rock Port, Grange Hall Cemetery in Rock Port, and Hunter Cemetery in Rock Port.
