He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernice Hunter and Herman Lawson; and his siblings, Darryl Lawson and Darleen Stevens. He is survived by: his wife Doris Bert Lawson; his children, Linda Mengel (Thomas), Gregory Lawson (Andrea), Kathleen Porter (Patrick) and James Lawson (Stephanie); his grandchildren, Angela Zawisza (Joseph), Amy Lynn (Michael), Adrienne Neckermann (Bradley), Nicholas Mengel (Cassidy), Whitney Lawson, Samuel Lawson, Delaney Lawson, David King, Emily King, Jonathan King and Daniel King; and his great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Adam, Rylee, Nicholas, Hadley, Joshua, Everly, Everett, Benjamin and Mila.
