He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Wayne Hooks and Ulus Marie Hooks; his daughter-in-law Debra Hooks; his brother William Hooks; and his close friend Marie Stafford.
He is survived by: his children, Clinton Hooks (Jeanette) of St. Louis, MO, Gavin Hooks, Denise of St. Clair, MO and Tracy Sanders (Randy) of St. Clair; his siblings, James Hooks (Rae) of Shoreline, WA, Frances East of Lebanon, MO, Faye Cox (Allan) of Lake Village, IN and Rachel Beaupre of Morocco, IN; and his grandchildren, Joshua Hooks of Arnold, MO, Brigitte Hooks of St. Louis, Amanda Hatfield (Andrew) of St. Clair, Megan Hooks (Alex) of Union, MO, Sarah Mayberry (Ryan) of Union, Caleb Hooks of St. Clair, Nathan Sanders of Rolla, MO and Kiley Sanders of St. Clair. He is also survived by three step-grandchildren, one great-grandchild, two step-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.
