He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Hunt and Clarissa Hunt (Kidwell); his wife Clara Joanne Hunt (Light); his daughter Carolyn Hunt; and his brothers, Charles Hunt, Jr. and Thomas Hunt.

He is survived by: his children, Randy Hunt of Rolla and Vickie Sue Frost (Chris) of Rolla; his sister Mary Johnson (Elmer); and his grandchildren, Randy, Jr., Christina Lee, Amy Joanne, Shauna, Heather, Michelle and Derrick. He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren.
