The memory of Helen LaBrunerie (Russellville, Missouri), who passed away on May 24, 2025 at the age of 84, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. As Helen departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Helen. Though Helen may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman "Buddy" Greathouse and Helen Ballenger Greathouse; and her husband Fernand LaBrunerie. She is survived by: her children, Alexander LaBrunerie (Robin) of Columbia, Jennifer Heydari (Fariborz) of London and Rebecca Duffy (Joshua) of Seattle; and her great grandchild Elliot LaBrunerie.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to The Museum of Art & Archaeology at MU or the Humane Society or the LaBrunerie Classics Library Endowment in care of the University of Missouri.
