It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Lou Elwood of Russellville, Missouri, who passed away on March 16, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Custard and Hazel Custard (McWaid); her spouse Thomas Hobart Elwood; her great grandchild Makayla Gallegos; and her siblings, Virginia McAtee, LaVerla Hess, Richard "Dick" Custard and Donald Custard.
She is survived by: her children, Sherry Chaloupek (Randy), Gene Elwood (Chris) and Wayne Elwood (Lois); and her grandchildren, Kalan Chaloupek (Heather), Elizabeth Porter (Jesse), Amanda Gallegos, Erica Volmert (Brian), Nate Elwood (Vera), Andy Elwood, Emma Elwood, Christina Foster (Jesse) and Thomas Elwood. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews and other extended family.
Memorials are suggested to Compassus Hospice or to Russellville Baptist Church.
