She was predeceased by: her husband Roy Wernig; her parents, Manilla Prouhet and Francis Prouhet; and her brother Harold Prouhet. She is survived by: her son Rich Wernig (Michelle); her daughter-in-law Mary McCoskey; her grandchildren, Melissa Starks (Dustin Starks), Sarah Fagan (Cody Fagan) and Ryan Wernig; and her great grandchildren, Landyn, Noah, Devin, Paxton, Declan, Riley, Millica and Leo.

Jeanette L. Wernig (Prouhet), age 78, died at NHC healthcare in Maryland Heights, Missouri on September 12th, 2021 after losing her battle with Alzheimer's and dementia.
