He was predeceased by: his wife Joann "Honey"; and his daughter Michele Rost. He is survived by: his children, John Spaedy, Michael Rost (Susan), Daniel Rost (Claudia) and Monica Knudtson; and his grandchildren, Adam Knudtson, Melinda Knudtson, Jeremy Knudtson, Angela Newsom, Robert Daugherty, Andrew Daugherty (Natalie), Stephen Rost, Lissie Eiler (Toby), Maggie Landrigan (Mark), Keegan Rost and Katrina Rost. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the American Cancer Society.
