He was predeceased by: his sibling Sue. He is survived by: his spouse Patricia B. Margulis; his child Tim Margulis (Sarah); his siblings, Florence Niehaus (Dick), Kate DePriest (Rich), Karen Margulis and Bizzle; his child Oliver; and his sibling-in-law Joe O'Brien (Patsy).
