He was predeceased by: his grandson Noah Bell; his parents, Vern Hayes and Janet Hayes; and his brother David Hayes Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Tammy Hayes; his daughter Holly Lanham; his grandchildren, Paige Bell (Feron Stanley), Gregory Bell (Ashley Gelgado), Eric Anderson (TreNiyah Loggins) and Leniyah Robinson (John Vanover); his great grandchildren, Zhara'Mila Bell, Kimoni Anderson and Illiana Stanley; his siblings, Sharon Jackson, Cary Hayes (Kate) and Rick Hayes; and his nieces and nephews, Nickie Hayes, Christopher Hayes, Dustin Hayes, Mike Hayes (Stephanie), Jason Jackson (Doni), Matthew Buettner (Maddie), Trvor Hayes (Mii-Cael Williams), David Hayes Jr. and Lisa Hayes.
