He is survived by: his children, Jeff Brooks, Mark Brooks (Lori), Lisa Thomas (John), Lori Sowell (late Bud) and Gregg Brooks (Lisa); his grandchildren, Christian (Audrey), Madelyn (Alex), Robyn (Ryan), Carly, Brenden, Casey, Jake, Bryant and Tatum; his great grandchild Greyson; and his sister Judy Winfrey (Jim).
