He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold "Roy" Silvey and Helen Silvey (Kirkland); his siblings, Arnold, John, Gary Silvey, Beverly Crist and Jim Crist; and his grandson Will Prince.

He is survived by: his wife Anna Silvey; his children, Carrol D. Silvey Jr. (Ruthann), Renee M. Downing (Thomas) and Delores J. Stevenson (Bart); his close friends, Ernie Silvey and Jerry Yount; and his sister-in-law Brenda Bennett. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
