He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Komer and Raymond Komer; his wife Carol; and his siblings, Jerry, Susie and Judy.
He is survived by: his daughters, Tobey Carrel (Mike) and Jennifer Larson (Eric); and his brother Mike. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, it was Gene's wish to have donations sent to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN, 38215.
