She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, William Jesse and Grace Audrey Blanton (Frakes); her husband John Joseph; her children, Agnes Cecelia Miller (Aggie), John Joseph, Jr. and Gregory Alan Nichols; her daughter-in-law Sharyn; her daughters, Barbara Ann Bigelow and Mary Margaret "PeeWee" Nichols; her daughter-in-law Leslie D. Nichols (Koch); her grandchildren, Angel M. Miller Perez (Chris), Nathan Wayne Bigelow, Victoria E. Nichols Harding (John), Catherine A. Nichols, Bobbie Jo Miller Linebach (Dru) and Ashley C. Nichols Clark (Cale); and her sister-in-law Marillyn Nichols. She was also cherished by 12 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephew, and special neighbors and friends.

In lieu of flowers, she requested donations be sent to Cathedral Altar Society, 519 N. 10th, St. Joseph, MO 64501, Gifts will be shared with the food pantry, school, and parish needs.
