He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Simon Henry and Christine Groner (Wieberg); his spouse Bernadine Emma Otto; his sons, Mike Groner (Debbie, Jerry Groner) and Jim Groner; his grandchildren, Wendy Sullivan, Blake Groner, Vicky Buckner, Beth Groner, Emily Groner, Mary Groner and Lucy Groner; his siblings, Odelia Schmidt, Clem Groner and Art Groner; his son Andrew Groner; and his sister Rita Otto. He was also cherished by several nieces, nephews, family and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church.
