He is survived by: his close friend Jeannie Atkinson of Salem, Missouri; his children, Sandy Daniel (Tim) of Muscatine Iowa and Roger Prater (Sophie) of Canton, Illinois; his siblings, Wayne Prater (Dessie) of Cadet, MO, Rick Prater of Batesville, MO, Donald Prater (Elizabeth) of Salem, MO, Emmett Prater (Valerie) of Ratcliff, KY, Granvel Prater (Joan) of Warsaw, MO, Erma Hance of Rolla, MO and Vernie Prater of Blue Springs, MO; and his grandchildren, Colton, Kaylynn, Jacob and Jesse. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
