He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Valgene and Dora Larue McCollum (Bills); his daughter Sharon Kay McCollum; his siblings, Wayne "Buddy" McCollum (Jerri), Faye Blackwell and Donna Cravens (Gene); his brother-in-law Bill Emmerich; his brother Chris; and his sister-in-law Debbie Meier.
He is survived by: his wife Becky Biere; his children, Wendy Beth Childs of Denver, Robert Wayne McCollum of Houston, Josh Biere (Bobbie) of Salisbury and Scott McCollum (Logan) of Columbia, Missouri; his sister Regina Emmerich of Salisbury, Missouri; his brother-in-law Jim Blackwell of Keytesville, Missouri; his parents-in-law, Maurice and Mary Biere of Salisbury, Missouri; his brother Rusty; and his sister-in-law Kathey Harmon of Salisbury. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 18th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Summerville Funeral Home - Salisbury (601 US-24, Salisbury, MO 65281). A masonic service will be held on Monday, May 18th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 19th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
