She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Rupert Melville Gorrell and Bessie Gorrell (Neitzert); her husband Kenneth Nichols; her children, Linda Nichols of Sedalia and Ron Nichols (Katie) of Green Ridge, MO; her sister Vera Arnett of Columbia, MO; her son Gary Nichols; and her brother R. N. Gorrell. She was also cherished by three granddaughters; and two great granddaughters.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, Sedalia.
