He was predeceased by: his parents, Garland Cook and Goldie Cook (Dillard); his daughter Michelle "Chelle" Cook; his grandsons, Carl and Ian; and his siblings, Samuel Cook and Carolyn Baxley.
He is survived by: his wife Lynda (Hardinge); his children, Tina Cook of Stockton, CA, Gene Cook Jr. (Yesenia) of Sedalia, Michael Cook (Christine) of Sedalia and Mark Cook (Liz) of Littleton, ME; and his siblings, Jim Cook and Melba Qualls. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren.
