He is survived by: his sons, Michael Tye of Warsaw and Joe Tye of Lee's Summit; his siblings, Vickie Deason (Steve) and Darrell Tye of Edwards; his stepsiblings, Vickie Green and David Burns; and his granddaughter Katrin Tye of Warsaw. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
