He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Bell Weir and Alma Amelia Weir (Kurtz); his son Ricky Weir; and his sister Ila Smith. He is survived by: his wife Patricia L. Richards; his children, Rusty Weir of Sedalia, Karen Weir of La Monte, MO, Ronda Barklage (Mark) of Lee's Summit, MO and Britt Weir (Caroline) of Blue Springs, MO; and his grandchildren, Richard Maltsbarger, Robert Maltsbarger, Ryland Maltsbarger, Britt Lee Weir, Scott A. Weir, Corey Weir, Adwina Weir and Chelsea Heath. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Shriner's Childrens Hospital in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
