She was predeceased by: her parents, Fredrick Carl and Alma Bottcher Bretall; and her siblings, Carl Bretall, Jean Leechi and Frances Burkhalter.
She is survived by: her husband Lloyd George Forbes; her children, Bill Forbes of Sedalia, Dan Forbes of Smithton, Steve Forbes of Warrensburg and Nancy Parker (Robert) of Sedalia; her grandchildren, Brandon, Quinten, Noah, Jacob and Megan; and her siblings, Joan Fallis of McPherson, KS, Rhoda Moore (Dave) of Sedalia, Bill Bretall (Judy) of Springfield, MO and Bob Bretall (Sandy) of Aurora, CO. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers and plants, Marian's wishes were to have memorial contributions be made to the Marian Forbes scholarship fund at Whittier High School in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
