With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Melvin E. Hotson of Sedalia, Missouri, born in Kansas City, Missouri, who passed away on November 14, 2020 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Hotson and Mary Hotson (Spires); his wife Wilma Kaylene Lakey; and his siblings, Donald, Johnny Hotson and Mary Alice Collins.

He is survived by: his children, Melvin E. Hotson, II of Overland Park, KS and Statia K. Hotson of Sedalia.
