He is survived by: his wife Carol Kollasch; his sons, Michael Mergen (Debra) of Springfield, MO and David Mergen (Kelli) of Kansas City, MO; his brother Kenny Mergen of Iowa; his grandchildren, Kiefer Mergen, Cindy Beecher, Julia Mergen and Madison Mergen; and his great grandchildren, Norah Mergen, Gabe Mergen and Blakelee Mergen.
