She was predeceased by: her parents, Courtis L. Howard and Kathryn H. Howard (Brunkhorst); and her husband Norman D. Childs. She is survived by: her children, Cathy Childs of Lee's Summit, MO and Mark Childs (Carin) of Wichita, KS. She is also survived by four grandchildren; two nephews and two nieces.

Memorial donations are suggested to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, in care of McLaughlin Funeral Chapel.
