He was predeceased by: his parents, Rollie James and Bessie Elizabeth Thomas (Brownfield); his sisters, Grace Bremer, Melva Ruth Campbell, Bernice Mosley and Barbara Ann Rayl; his son Rodney Thomas; and his granddaughter Mandy Marie Thomas.

He is survived by: his wife Darlene Oehrke; his sons, Karis Thomas (Mary Ann) of Sedalia, Dwayne Thomas (Tina) of Sedalia and Chris Thomas (Joseph McKee) of Altadena, CA; his daughter-in-law Melanie of Kearney; his grandchildren, Erin Thomas, Teasha Vargas (Victor), Zac Thomas (Jodi), Brett Thomas and Trenton Thomas (Tera); his great grandchildren, Kyra, Evan, Reece, Tucker, Laven and Abby Mae; and his siblings, Lucille Davis, Otis (Lois) and Zeb Thomas (Velmar) of Sedalia. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The family suggests memorial contributions to The Missouri Veterans Home, Warrensburg, MO in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
