He was predeceased by: his wife Dora Jane Ditzfeld; his daughter Deborah; and his siblings, Tommy and Betty. He is survived by: his children, Richard Parker, Jr. of Sedalia, Robert Parker (Nancy) of Sedalia, Paul Parker (Bree) of Sedalia, Dennis Parker of Sedalia, David Parker (Brenda) of Aurora, CO, Stephen Parker (Julie) of Edmond, OK and Dianne K. Thomas (Ron) of Sedalia; and his siblings, Paul, Larry, Edward, Marie and Imogene. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
