He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Glenwood Long and Martha Long (Wolf); and his daughter Deborah Ann Tichenor. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Long; his son Patrick Dean Long (Amy) of Sedalia; his grandchildren, Joshua Gray (Erin), Joseph Gray (Sydney), Marianne Tichenor (Kasey), Emily Tichenor, Matthew Long and Morgan Long; his great grandchild McKennah Kabler; his brother Walter Long of Sedalia; and his nephew Kevin Long (Kristy) of Sedalia.

Memorial contributions may be made to Benton County Hospice or Miller's Chapel Cemetery Fund in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
