He is survived by: his sibling's children, Rafael Hurt (Sarah), Phelipe Hurt (Nathalia), Jessica Mellott (Brian) and Amanda Crossland (Stephen); his sister-in-law Maria Cecilia Hurt; and his close friend Kathy Humphreys. He is also survived by six great nieces and nephews.
