He was predeceased by: his grandson Joseph Walter. He is survived by: his parents, Dorsey Edwin and Helen Walter (Wiley); his wife Helen; his children, Michael Walter (Gail) of Sedalia, Debra Joy (Mike) of Sedalia, Sheryl Gerke (Shawn) of Republic, MO and Barry Walter (Sorita) of Sedalia; and his sister Ardis Curtiss of Independence. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Sedalia Animal Shelter or Our Savior Lutheran Church.
