He was predeceased by : his parents, Benjamin Franklin Cook Sr. and Freda Shields Cook; his spouse Barsha Lou Ragsdale; and his siblings, Jean Bowers, Anita Hill Kelley, Freda Corner, Fred Cook and Elston "Buddy" Cook.

He is survived by : his children, Beth Joyce (Kevin Knifong), Becky Cook (Deborah Cook), B. J. Kissinger (Beau) and Bo Cook of Diggins; his grandchildren, Heather Thomas (Zach), Whitney Joyce (Chris Ipock), Travis Knifong, Ashley Wake (Dustin), Brittany Akers (Kreg), Bella Jo Kissinger, Bailey Cook and Bristol Cook; his great grandchildren, Hunter Thomas, Riley Clark, Ayden Hintt, Mayson Akers, Maggie, Derek, Keirsten Akers, Tinsley Collins, Bentley Knifong, Addie and Makenzie Ipock; and his brother Reverend Phillip Cook of Marshfield. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Diggins Apostolic Church Building Fund and made through the funeral home.
