Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Mary Catherine Winkler of Shelbina, Missouri, who passed away at the age of 95, on September 27, 2025. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward L. Riley and Ellen G. Riley (Maher); her brother Donald Riley; her husband Jack; her daughter Rita Carmel Winkler; and her great grandchild Trinity Herman.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Ellen Winkler of Glen Carbon, IL, Rodney Winkler of Morrisville, NC, Catherine Winkler of Shelbina, MO, Sarah Vande Velde (Gary) of Mound City, KS and Linda Herman (Craig) of Glen Carbon, IL; her grandchildren, John Herman (Serena), Michael McGoldrick (Stephanie), Bonnie Winkler, Zachariah Herman, Tyler Herman, Dillon Herman (Alexus) and Dustin Herman (Heavin); her great grandchildren, Jason, Jordan, Skyler, Ayla, Jack, Deliah, Anastasia, Josiah Herman and Dr. Mark Angles of Overland Park; her grandson Riley; Herman. She is also survived by five children, eight grandchildren and eight (soon to be nine!) great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 4:30 PM and from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Chapel (401 S Center St, Shelbina, MO 63468). A Mass will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (307 E Chestnut St, Shelbina, MO 63468).
Memorials may be made to the St. Mary's Catholic Church or Neighbors Helping Neighbors.
