He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Elbert and Blanch Elbert (Rodelander); his son Dustin Elbert; and his grandsons, Weston Elbert, Jaymie Elo and J. R. McDaniel.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Elbert (Fry); his children, Troy Elbert (Chrissy) of St. Joseph, MO, Chad Frasher of St. Joseph, MO, Tony Frasher (Kerry) of St. Joseph, MO, Chelsie Fowler (Gabe) of Turon, KS and Tara Hood (Jim) of St. Joseph; his brother Bruce Elbert (Marlys) of McPherson, KS; and his niece Mandy. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or charity of donor's choice.
