He was predeceased by: his parents, Orvil James and Effie Irene Potter (Porter); his wife Minnie King; his brothers, Leonard and Donald Potter; and his daughter Julie Freeman.
He is survived by: his daughters, Debbie (Larry Clements), Lorie (Bub Coonce), Ronna (Shannon Long), Tillie (Adam Fowler), Wendy (Brandon Tetrick) and Sarah Potter (Ryan Miller); and his siblings, Robert Potter, Leon Potter, Ronald Potter, Paul Potter, Doris Baten (Pinckney), Margie Dobbs, Pearl Atchison and James Potter. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, host of relatives and many friends.
