She was predeceased by : her parents, James Lloyd Pinnell and Grace Clementine Pinnell; her stepmother Marie Pinnell; her husband Gene Schmidt; her parents-in-law, Henry and Francis Schmidt; her stepmother-in-law Clara Schmidt; her daughter Dana Elizabeth Schmidt; her siblings, James Haskell Pinnell, Ina Bouse (Lindell), Dorothy Hutson (Delmar) and Rosie Atchison; her sister-in-law Catherine Coleman (Glen); and her nephew John Hudson.

She is survived by : her sons, David Schmidt (Colleen) of Steelville, MO and Dale Schmidt (Debbie) of Jefferson City, MO; her grandchildren, Kelly Wicklund (Jared) of Carthage, MO, Grant Schmidt (Meghan) of Batavia, OH and Eric Schmidt (Lindsie) of Steelville, MO; her siblings-in-law, Ray Atchison of Steelville, MO and Lorraine "Rainey" Pinnell of Villa Ridge, MO; her nephews, Spencer Hutson (Valerie) of Cuba, MO and Paul Hutson (Pam) of Steelville, MO; her niece Linda Hudson of St. Charles, MO; and her great grandchildren, Karch, Aowyn, Thaden, Karyla, Kiran Wicklund, Eleanor "Ellie", Memphis Schmidt, Taylor and Claire Schmidt. She is also survived by cousins and many friends.
