It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dixie Payne of Steelville, Missouri, who passed away on January 1, 2021, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Dixie Payne to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Ed Halbert and Alice Halbert; her husband Kenneth William Payne; her son William Daniel Payne; her brothers, Earl Halbert (Ada), Leroy Bernard "Doc" Halbert (Ina), Carl Thomas Halbert and Frankie Halbert; her half-sister Helen Hinch (Clyde); her parents-in-law, Ed and Ella Mae Payne; and her siblings-in-law, Gerald Payne (Rebel), Harry Payne and Edith Coppedge (Bill).

She is survived by : her daughter Shirley Hendrix (Warren) of Steelville, MO; her granddaughter Michelle "Shelly" Hogeboom (Allen) of Bourbon, MO; her great grandchildren, Will Olms of Steelville, MO and Ashley Turnbough of Steelville, MO; her great great grandchildren, Ella, Adisyn, Oaklee Olms, Rhett and Reid Conaway; and her close friend Jim Quinton of Cuba, MO. She is also survived by son; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Memorials were suggested to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
