She was predeceased by : her parents, William Haffer and Ida Haffer; her children, Janice Carol Gowers, Eugene Gowers and Gary Gowers; and her great great grandchild Angel Gowers.

She is survived by : her husband William Barman of St. Louis; and her son David Gowers (Cielo Masado-Gowers) of Sacramento. She is also survived by four grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, siblings, nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.
