It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Venita Mae Olms of Steelville, Missouri, born in Saint Louis, Missouri, who passed away on May 24, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Thomas William Marston and Vallie Venita Marston; her husband Jack Olms; her parents-in-law, Walter and Mary Olms; her children, Pamela Land, Janet Sue Olms and Michael Olms; her granddaughter Felicia Olms; her siblings, Charles Tucker (Bessie Lee), Thomas Marston, Jr. (Monifaye), Albert Marston, Gracie Marston, Mary Kun (Frank), Betty "Toots" Leone (Bernard), Gertrude Marston, Patricia "Pat" Lashley (David), Donald Marston and Millie Williams (Lindell); her siblings-in-law, Betty Zygmund (Stanley), Margaret Wong (Julio), Barbara Olms, Pat Conway (Paul), Walter Olms (Kathy "Sissy") and Jerald "Jerry" Roland, Sr.; and her nephew Jerald "Jerry" Roland, Jr..

She is survived by : her children, Debbie Gladden (Joe) of Spotsylvania, VA, Jack Henry Olms, Donna Combs (Warren) of Bourbon, MO and Valley Becker (Jim) of Steelville, MO; her daughter-in-law Shannon Olms of Branson, MO; her siblings, Dorothy Roland (Roger Barr) of Steelville, MO and John Marston; and her grandchildren, Jim Gladden, Melanie Gladden, Jackie Lutz, Bradley Davis, Matthew Olms, Jana Olms, Mae Sol Delgado, Ricky Land, John Price, William Olms, Dylan Becker and Garrett Becker. She is also survived by great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

“As Venita's son-in-law for 49 yrs, I observed her unfailing devotion and many sacrifices as wife, mother, & great/grandmother. Her life was about caring for kids. I remember her meeting her 1st grandchild, our son Jim, in Jacksonville FL, still shaky from her 1st ever flight, to help us with our first baby. My heart goes out to my wife, Debbie, & sisters-in-law Donna, & especially Vallie who spared no effort to care for her. We will miss you. Rest in the peace you so richly deserve. Joe”
