He was predeceased by: his parents, Tony Marvin and Maxine Johnson (Grisham); his wife Geneva Pendergrass; his sister Wilma Watson; his son John Calvin; and his son-in-law Fred Fife.
He is survived by: his daughters, Cathy Fife, Connie Craft (Jerry) and Crystal Smith (Tom); his brother Grover Johnson; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Scott, Sarah Helton, Freddy Fife, Christopher Craft, Jonathan Fife, Matthew Smith, Rebecca Walker, Rachel Smith, Jesse Smith and Samuel Smith; his great grandchildren, Andrew, Luke Scott, Carter, Payton Helton, Mitchell, Maris Craft, Kamryn Wideman, Casey, Savannah Walker, Maci, Alyiah, Gavin Smith and Calvin Smith; his siblings-in-law, Dale, Larry Pendergrass, J. D. Thompson, Robert Hart, Doroline Barnes, Ann Newton, Shirley Hart, Louise and Sandra Pendergrass; and his close friend Jim Smith.
