She was predeceased by: her parents, Max Tessman and Dora Tessman (Meyer); her son Steven Farel (Trina); her grandsons, Cory Joe Farel, Shane Farel and Luke Wollin; and her siblings, Evelyn Odemoe (Harrison), Harold Tessman (Lotis), Hazel Busse (George), Lucille Tessman, Doris Beardsley (Bill), Mary VanSoest (Larry), Wilber "Bill" Tessman (Margaret), Robert Tessman (Bernice) and Lois Phillips (Richard).
She is survived by: her husband Norman Farel; her children, Norman Jr. "Tink" (Cheryl Farel), Sharon Thomas (Fred) of Belvidere, Illinois and Pamela Johnson (Tom) of Belvidere, Illinois; her grandchildren, Xandra Farel, Sara Wollin, Matthew Wollin, Talie Johnson, Nick Brown (Kristine) of Steven, K. C., Ashley Farel and Christopher Thomas (Katie); her niece Candy Farel Mendoza; her great grandchildren, Braden Ettner, Emma, Hunter, Regan, Max Wollin, Alayna Farel, Jasmin Farel, Janell, Teaghan, Zach and Karlene Brown; her sisters-in-law, Linda Hendrickson (James) and Ruby Cheek; and her son Jerry Richardson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Pre-Covid she regularly attended Missionary Baptist Church.
