He is survived by: his wife Shirley Groves of Union, MO; and his children, Patricia Groves of Kirkwood, MO, Susan Wibbenmeyer of Kirkwood, MO and Christopher Groves of Kirkwood, MO. He is also survived by one grandchild and three step-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Alzheimer's Association.
