It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carmen Ruth Copeland of Union, Missouri, born in Leslie, Missouri, who passed away on November 17, 2020, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parent Flavius Rumbuhl; her husband James R. Copeland Jr.; her son Mike Copeland; her parents-in-law, James Ray Copeland and Viola "Olie"; her sisters, Flavia Lucille Rumbuhl and Marion Lowe; and her niece Debbie Dalba.
She is survived by: her mother-in-law Lucille; her son Tom Copeland (Karen); her daughter-in-law Lora Copeland of Union, MO; her sisters, Jean Gardner of California and Lillie Niebuhr of St. Louis, MO; her grandchildren, Brian Copeland (Kim), Christa Clarkson (John), Matt Copeland (Krista), Sarah Copeland, Jon Copeland (Stephanie) and Tami Bailey (RJ); and her great grandchildren, Benjamin Copeland, Hayley, Kylee Vawter, Wyatt, Brant Copeland, Caroline, Ethan, William, Nathaniel Clarkson, Lukas, Jackten Copeland, Ryleigh, Bryson Selz, Evelynn, Adalynn, Owen Copeland, Carter and Emmett Bailey. She is also survived by nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many dear friends.
The family requests that all visitors and guests wear a mask and practice social distancing at visitation and the funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Union Senior Center or First Baptist Church of Union.
