He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Gene, Faye Lomax, Glenn and Dolores Foster; and his nephew Jordan Jones.

He is survived by: his wife Leslie Ann Schmitt of St. Charles; his children, Zoe Grace Schmitt, Mia Faith Schmitt, Bo Joseph Alan Schmitt and Cam Joseph Raymond Schmitt; his parents, Tim Lomax (Gaynell) and Gaynell Lomax of Sullivan; his siblings, Justin Schmitt (Melinda) of Stanton, William Lomax (Francesca) of Dittmer, T. J, Rich Jones (Brandy) of Imperial, Kristin Patterson (Austin) of Sullivan and Alicia McDaniel (Corey) of St. Clair; his grandparents, Charlotte Grissom of New Madrid, Sonny and Pat Bickford of Sikeston; his parents-in-law, Cindy Lewis of New Madrid and Dewey Bickford Jr. of Sikeston; his nephews, Levi, Dallas and Austin; and his great-niece Kaizlee. He is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
