He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Edward and Mildred Tanner (McCain); his son Christopher Tanner; and his brother Dewy Tanner. He is survived by: his pet Daisy; his wife Virginia Dail Tanner (Cook); his son Tim Tanner (Brenda) of Illinois; his stepsons, Jeremy Pursifull of Union, MO and Gary Pursifull of Grag Summit, MO; his daughter Cassandra Shaikh (Irfan) of St. Charles, MO; and his stepdaughters, Kelly Botkin (Mario) of Salem, MO and Michelle Van Matre (Geoff) of DeSoto, MO. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren.
